​The QLD Chapter have some fantastic spaces available for hire, open to all members and non-members. (Discounted rates for members apply). We have an Executive boardroom (20pax) and a large AV equipped Auditorium (150pax) to suit all occasions.

Broadway Hotel - retraction and apology

On 19 November 2018, the Executive Director of the Queensland Chapter, on behalf of the Institute, sent an email to members of the Queensland Chapter titled “Help Save the Historic Broadway Hotel”. That email included reference to “long term negligence by the current owner”. The Executive Director of the Queensland Chapter and the Australian Institute of Architects retract and unreservedly apologise to the current owner of the Broadway Hotel for that statement, and acknowledge the current owner’s investment in and involvement with Queensland built heritage over many years.
