Charting leading Australian architecture projects over the course of a decade from 2010 through to 2019, the INSPIRE series is a unique portrayal of award-winning designs from concept to completion. Preliminary sketches, stunning photographs and quotes from architects and clients, give readers new insight into the design process.

INSPIRE 2013

INSPIRE 2013 is the fourth edition in the series and includes over 270 pages of exciting, innovative architectural projects by leading Australian designers who have been honoured through the Australian Institute of Architects' 2013 National Architecture Awards. Projects featured in INSPIRE 2013 include Fairhaven Residence by John Wardle Architects winner of the Robin Boyd Award for Residential Architecture – Houses, Perth Arena by ARM & CCN Joint Venture Architects winner of the Sir Zelman Cowen Award for Public Architecture, and Australia House by Andrew Burns Architect winner of the Jørn Utzon Award for International Architecture. 

INSPIRE 2012

The third edition in the 10-volume series charting the best in peer-reviewed Australian architecture showcases the innovative projects that have been honoured through the 2012 National Architecture Awards. This is a celebration of excellence in contemporary Australian architecture published in over 250 beautifully produced, full-colour pages. Award winning projects for 2012 include 1 Bligh Street, Sydney by architectus + ingenhoven architects, winner of The Harry Seidler Award for Commercial Architecture; and MONA – Museum of Old & New Art by Fender Katsalidis, winner of The Sir Zelman Cowen Award for Public Architecture. 

INSPIRE 2011

The second volume in the Inspire series features all award recipients in the 2011 National Architecture Awards. These include Castlecrag House in New South Wales by Neeson Murcutt Architects, winner of the Robin Boyd Award for Residential Architecture, and The University of Adelaide Innova21 by DesignInc, winner of the National Award for Sustainable Architecture. Accompanying sketches and photos take the reader through various design processes. 

INSPIRE 2010

The first in a series of 10 annual, limited edition books, Inspire 2010 catalogues the winning projects from the Australian National Architecture Awards, accompanied by anecdotes from the architects, early concept sketches and striking photography. Modest but unique barn-like homes are commemorated to the same extent as public convention and exhibition centres, all linked by the architectural standards they uphold. Award winning projects for 2010 include Surry Hills Library & Community Centre by Francis-Jones Morehen Thorp (fjmt), winner of the National Award for Sustainable Architecture; and Trial Bay House by HBV Architects, winner of The Robin Boyd Award for Residential Architecture – Houses.
