Project Architect

THOSE Architects are looking for an exceptional Project Architect to join our small studio and play an integral role in our team.

Working across a range of residential projects, you will be involved in all stages of the project from design, documentation and contract administration.

The ability to liaise with consultants, clients and councils is required.

Local experience administering residential contracts is a must.

You’ll be passionate and super talented with great communication skills with knowledge in ArchiCAD and Adobe suite.

This position is for our Sydney studio.

Project Architect 

The Opportunity 
A Project Architect at Tobias Partners plays a significant role in the design development, construction documentation and construction phases of our projects.

They work closely with Project Principals and clients, along with a range of other key stakeholders e.g. project consultants, council officers, suppliers and contractors.

As a Project Architect you will be responsible for managing the delivery of sketch and concept design presentations, DA documentation and construction detailing.

You will prepare required CC applications, tender and contract documentation packages, and assist in delivering construction services once the build commences.

To effectively fill this Project Architect role you will have at least 5 years recent relevant experience as a Project Architect documenting bespoke complex single house projects.

Prerequisite Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, with at least 5 years relevant experience as Project Architect
  • Proficiency in Vectorworks 2D and 3D, and SketchUp
  • Advanced understanding of highly resolved architectural detailing and construction methodologies, and the integration of specialist information
  • Significant past architectural experience in bespoke complex single house projects, with a consistent focus on architectural detailing
  • Ability to self-manage, communicate your message well, and to coordinate large single residential projects
  • Effectively manage a small project team in order to set and meet project milestones
  • Ability to effectively coordinate and liaise with a variety of key project stakeholders, such as the client and consultant team, local authorities and contractors
  • Australian Permanent Residency – essential

Submission and Marketing Coordinator

CHROFI is seeking a Submission and Marketing Coordinator to join its team in Manly.
The Submission and Marketing Coordinator will ensure that the practice secures an adequate pipeline of new work by both preparing bids (RFTs, RFPs, EOIs, Direct Commissions) and by raising the practice's profile in the industry through award submissions and engagement with the media.

The Submission and Marketing Coordinator will be required to work in a high-pressure team environment on multiple deadlines with limited input from Practice Directors.


  • Assess opportunities and track forecasts for new work
  • Prepare written project pitches with limited input from Directors
  • Coordinate input from both internal & external bid team members
  • Prepare award and bid submissions to a high graphic standard
  • Track & follow up submissions and record feedback for each
  • Manage social media channels
  • Write press releases and liaise with media 
  • Manage the library of templates and marketing collateral
  • Arrange photography of projects

Required Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in the business of architecture
  • Strong graphic skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop)
